The Phoenix Suns are a professional basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the only team in their division not to be based in California.

Goran Dragić (born May 6, 1986) is a Slovenian professional basketball guard with the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Dragić is 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) in height and weighs 190 lb (86 kg; 14 st). He plays at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. He signed with the Phoenix Suns of the NBA on September 22, 2008. On February 24, 2011, the Suns traded Dragić to the Houston Rockets with a first round lottery protected draft pick for point guard Aaron Brooks. However, Dragić decided to return to the Suns during the 2012 NBA free agency period.
Stephen John "Steve" Nash, OC, OBC (born 7 February 1974) is a Canadian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a successful high-school basketball career in British Columbia, he earned a scholarship to Santa Clara University in California. In his four seasons with the Broncos, the team made three NCAA Tournament appearances, and Nash was twice named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year.
Vincent Lamar "Vince" Carter was born January 26, 1977 and currently plays professional basketball for the Dallas Mavericks. He's a shooting guard, but can also play small forward. Carter played three years in college for the University of North Carolina. While playing for the Tarheels, he reached the NCAA Final Four twice before he was selected fifth overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Gold State Warriors. He was immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors and won the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.
