
The Indiana Pacers are based in Indianapolis, IN and are members of the Central Division in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The Pacers were created in 1967 as members of the American Basketball Association (ABA) until the ABA and NBA merged in 1976. The team is owned by Herb Simon, founder of Simon Property Group an Indianapolis real estate investment company that would eventually become the No. 1 mall owner in the United States. The Pacers' current general manager is Kevin Pritchard and the head coach is Frank Vogel.
