Short bio:

Adele is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. She was offered a recording contract from XL Recordings after a friend posted her demo on Myspace in 2006. The next year she received the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" award and won the BBC Sound of 2008. Her debut album, 19, was released in 2008 to much commercial and critical success. It certified four times platinum in the UK, and double platinum in the US. Her career in the US was boosted by a Saturday Night Live appearance in late 2008. At the 2009 Grammy Awards, Adele received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Adele released her second album, 21, in early 2011. The album was well received critically and surpassed the success of her debut, earning the singer six Grammy Awards in 2012 including Album of the Year, equaling the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in one night. The album has also led to her receiving numerous other awards, including two Brit Awards and three American Music Awards. The album has been certified 16 times platinum in the UK; in the US the album has held the top position longer than any other album since 1985, and is certified Diamond. According to IFPI, the album has sold over 26 million copies worldwide.

Adele is the first female in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to have three singles in the top 10 at the same time as a lead artist, and the first female artist to have two albums in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously. 21 is the longest running number one album by a female solo artist on the UK and US Albums Chart. In 2011 and 2012, Billboard named Adele Artist of the Year. In 2012, Adele was listed at number five on VH1′s 100 Greatest Women In Music, and the American magazine Time named Adele one of the most influential people in the world. In 2013, she received an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for her song "Skyfall", written for Skyfall, the twenty-third James Bond film.

Adele, Thank you for being you. You are a great role model for many people, especially me. When things get tough, stressful, and just absolutely scary in my life, I listen to you- your songs, your interviews, and just videos on the internet of you telling everyone what's up. You make me laugh and inspire me to keep going forward in my life instead of getting stuck in the pain of my past. Your music encourages me and invigorates me. I see how successful you are now and hope that one day I too may be successful, even if I'm not an amazing famous English singer, although I would like to sing (singing is one of my many passions) :) Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for being a great role model for me. -One of Your Biggest Fans!

I will be at your June 9 concert in Paris with my best friend and soulmate Caroline. We've been waiting to see you Live for years and this concert is her gift to me. I am so grateful (and so excited!!)!
So I'm throwing it out there, perhaps this message will get to you: could you sing "Make You Feel My Love" and dedicate it to Caroline, who saved my life years ago when I thought I was drowning, and to all those best friends out there who remind us we have wings even when we've forgotten how to fly?
Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful gifts of your voice and heart.
See you in Paris!

I just want to say thank you for your recent album Adele 25, it is a very emotional and heart felt album that I feel keeps me connected with my belated sister. My little sister passed away Boxing Day and when I finally went into her room your album unopened was sitting on her bed. I now hear the song Hello at random times and it gives me goosebumps and makes me cry everytime. She loved you and your beautiful music and blasted it as loud as she could on a daily basis. So I thank you for providing such a beautiful album which I feel my sister with me everytime I listen to it. I hope to see you in concert with my sisters when you come to Australia and I thank you again!! Xxx

Here's my experience with my purchase to the Verizon Center Oct. 11th disappointed and frustrated :(

I received a confirmation # which showed my seats ( Section 6, Row X, Seat 3-4 ) for the Oct. 11th show in Washington DC. I also received an email showing the same information. When I went to print out the confirmation on the TicketMaster site months later for daughter's birthday gift it showed my order had been cancelled. I never received any correspondence from ticketmaster about the cancellation (this is a ticket-less show meaning all you would do is swipe your credit card at the show for entry - so had I not gone onto my account I never would have realized what had happened and shown up for the show with my daughter in toe!)

When I contacted Ticketmaster at first they told me they had a problem charging my card. After I pushed the issue, they admitted that they had a glitch in their system and sold the seats to more than one customer and that this was a system wide glitch. I have been going back and forth with Ticketmaster since March. At first they basically told me tough luck, they didn't charge my card so I had no seats. They offered me a $100 gift card because of their error - a comparable $125 seat is now selling on stubhub for over $1000, not sure how they thought this would fix the problem. So I pushed on and their rep told me she would contact the promoter and get back to me about possible tickets. I didn't hear anything for over a month so contacted them again and now they have told me again, I'm out of luck but now have referred me to their terms which basically says tough luck if they have a system glitch.

Now I've asked about the $100 gift card I was originally offered and the rep told me because I originally declined the offer it was not on the table.

They have now referred me to their sister site ticketsnow. Our seats were in row 6 (again which I got for $125). The closest seat on their sister site is section 102 for $1800. I was told they originally released the tickets like they did to avoid scalpers and now TicketMaster is scalping on their admitted 'sister site' when I legitimately obtained 2 tickets only to have the order cancelled?

Clearly the company has access to tickets but refuses to give me comparable tickets to the ones that they canceled. Ticketmaster said that scalper tickets would be canceled. Yet there are scalper tickets all over stubhub and ticketsnow. Ticketmaster knows who bought those tickets because their system has the purchase info. related to the seat number. If they legitimately we're trying to stop the scalpers then they would cancel those tickets that are currently for sale through these other sites and give them to legitimate customers who received order confirmation. What a horrible experience.

This was my daughter's one and only 13th birthday present. Shame on you TicketMaster.

I have no idea if you will see this, but my friend will be at your upcoming concert in Philadelphia. He loves everything about you, and I don't know if you do this or not, but a shout out to the future Dr. Clay would mean more to him than you can possibly imagine. You embody a spirit that he tries to emulate and he sees you as a role model.

My daughter and I are going to the Adele concert in Chicago on Monday, July 11/16. We are "over the moon" excited. Her son Ben (my Grandson), said to her ...."Mom...are you going to meet Adele?" Shannon said "no but we are going to be in the same place listening to her as she sings live". Ben said " but you are with Gram so I bet you will meet her too". If I ever did anything I would somehow like to know
how I could make that happen and we could tell Ben we really did meet Adele. Is there a meet and greet I could pay to have my daughter Shannon meet her? Please let me know. Very Sincerely, Gail

My beloved partner, Louise and I (married 1 year, together 30...was waiting for the world to wake up) will be there in Denver this Sunday. We've been waiting for this day since tix went on sale and now here it is, extremely excited. We are in section FFF row 2 if you want to give us a wave. You'll recognize us as we have been told we look like Joan Collins & KD Lang but that was by a cab driver in Las Vegas. It's not true as Louise really looks more like Liz Taylor. Anyway, have a great time up there and I will be there doing the same. Much love, Hoodie

Hello - My daughters and I have enjoyed your music from the start and have/listen to frequently all your music - we LOVE it. We really connect w/ your music and with each other - something we have in common. I'd love to take my girls (before my oldest goes away to college next year) to a show of yours, but cannot possibly afford the extremely high prices (we'd have to travel, too, there's no show in Pittsburgh, PA). I'm shocked and saddened by the high prices and how quickly they went so fast - not even by folks who wanted to go, but by folks who wanted to make even more money by buying and then reselling the tickets. My daughters and I had 6 computers going trying to get some tickets and were 'in line' digitally waiting, waiting, waiting, trying so hard. I'm not surprised your music and your talent are so popular, but shocked that reasonably priced tickets were gone so quickly from scalpers who just want money; the folks like us, who connect w/ each other over your music, love your music and talent but aren't rich, cannot get a single one w/o breaking the bank. Unfortunate. We'd like to appreciate you in person too, but cannot........

I would love to take my granddaughter to see you but I do not have this kind of money for your concert. The tickets are on row 10 and on the floor and maybe this is the going price, I don't know. I'm not asking for anything, just wanted you to know that you are loved but you should price your concerts so that those of us that don't have as much can still delight our grandchildren.

My sister laurie has just been diagnosed with Mantle Celll lymphoma, her daughters saw you in concert in Detroit, somehow they did not ask there mother to go. Laurie has been diagnosed for the 2nd time with this terrible cancer, she was cancer free for 3 1/2 years, she re-grew her own stem cell and was in Karmanos Hospital for a month, now 3 1/2 years later it is back, the diagnosis does not sound good. Is there anyway that someone could donate 2 tickets to give my sister this wish, I don't think that she will be here next year, she is the best sister, she would die if she knew that I was asking for a favor like this, but I want her to have a good memory of something that she will always remember, and that is to see Adele live in concert. I have 2 tickets that maybe could get me to Texas, this is like a 911 emergency favor. IF anyone could help I would greatly appreciate this from the bottom of my heart. There is nothing else that I could do to make her happy, I hope that someone can read this ASAP.

First of all I would like to say I believe Adele to be one of the best artists I have ever listened to. She is in the league with Barbra Streisand.
But unfortunately, just like Streisand, while it would be a dream to see Adele live in concert, I cannot afford the ticket prices. I am a widow on a limited budget and cannot imagine paying the prices indicated for available tickets.
When I was young in the 70's I went to concerts in Savannah, Georgia quite often. It was very affordable then for a teenager to be able to go and see their favorite artists. I worked and made my own money so I always paid for myself.
It is sad that teenagers today cannot afford to do what I did at that time. It is even sadder that at my age it is too expensive as well. I work full time but do not have the kind of disposable income in order to be able to purchase tickets.
I just wanted to let you know how much I adore you but unfortunately, will never be able to see you perform in person.
Take Care

Hi Adele,

How are you? My partner Micky and I will be attending your concert on October 6th in Toronto and have both been huge fans of you and your music for quite some time.
My partner and I have been together for almost two years and have recently faced some huge challenges in our relationship. We love each other and I know we can work through our challenges. It would mean the world to me, and I know to my partner Micky if you gave him a shout out at your concert. I know this is a long shot, but this is the man I hope to marry one day and would love to see his surprise when his idol acknowledges him on stage. Micky is also a musician and really looks up to you and your music.

Hi there,
I am not someone that normally follow celebrity talk, but this morning after listing to the radio, I heard that you are taking a 10 year break to look after you 3 year old son that is starting school next year.
We normally forget that celebrities like yourself has got a personal life as well and what impact fame can have on celebrities and their family.

It's inspired me instantly to hear that yes, celebrities do put their family's wellbeing first. Never mind the fan club that might think it is selfish to put the entire world aside to rather be a mom.

I believe a MOM is the hardest and best career move ever. Nothing means as much to a child than a parent that is present in their life.

4 years ago, I have made a career move as well to more active in my children's life. It has been an absolute privilege to see their 1st try on the rugby veld and to be there for every event that is important to them.

Yes, I am lucky to be a work from home mom and I am sure there are many other parents that would choose a career move like mine as well.

Our family though, has had a very tough year. Yes, we might not have made the right choices always, but in desperate times it seemed like the best to do. We helped others in distress (providing a roof over their heads / caring for them as our own).
In the business I am (real estate), we have helped total strangers not to loose their home to the detriment of our own.
Now a year later, we have been left in the position that we might even loose our own roof over our head. I have tried all avenues to get us out of this situation, but nothing just seems to go our way.
My business is also now failing and my 2 boys don't quiet understand why mom is so stressed and not as vibrant as she used to be. Dad got another job working long hours now and not being able to always be here for us emotionally. It has had an intense impact on how our family use to be.

Although we sometime wish we could turn back time, make different / better choices, I still would not change what it has meant for my boys.
Yes, we might have a had a good life up to about a year ago and there are many people out there that is still worse off than ourselves, but I am at this point that I do not know where to turn anymore.
Believe me how we have tried.
We are quickly in the process of loosing everything, our home, my business, our self-worth, our dignity, our family as we used to know it.

There are so many celebrities out there that have reached rock bottom and somehow has made it back to the top again. In my boys eyes, we are their personal celebrities. How do we make it back up again?
We have gotten into so much trouble financially, trying to provide for everyone else.
How do I tell my boys to keep their heads high & stay strong if mom and dad don't even know what else to do.

From one MOM celebrity to another, I appeal to you. How do I make this right again?

Yours Faithfully
"Not giving up yet, MOM"

I was wondering if you could dedicate a song at this concert for our anniversary? I had tickets to your Phoenix show, which were a combined Christmas/graduation gift for my children. My daughter is a huge fan of yours. She loves to sing and is always singing to your songs. She even sang a cover of Rolling in the Deep, for her school band. We planned our whole vacation around your concert. Which you had to cancel due to being sick. My family and I are from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and we can't travel to Arizona again for the reschedule date, due to cost, our jobs and its during a holiday week. I am having no luck trying to list the tickets to sell, (not that I want to) for several reasons, which are too long to list. I am reaching out to you because I am so pissed off right now. I payed $1000 for tickets , because the companies now have it that you can't even purchase tickets at retail price when they go on sale because they allow people to purchase mass quantities. And they then screw the hell out of you my increasing the cost 150%.
I don't know how you can help but I needed to vent and get this off my chest. You probably will never even see this , especially with the way my luck is going.

I wanted to ask why there are no tickets available at an affordable price. The lowest I can find them for the concert at Talking Stick Resort in Arizona for November is $271.00 per person. The low and middle class working folks that love Adele would love to see her, but at this price, it is not affordable. I served my country for 30 years, along with I am sure many other Veterans that would love to see her.
Thank you!

Well! Before last night I would say that I was a casual fan of Adele.
Sure I loved some of her songs and appreciated the raw power and clarity of her vocals.
Last Night however...I was completely blown away and won over.
Adele is "real" perhaps an over used word but not as it applies to Adele.
Adele made an 18 thousand seat venue seem intimate...she shares freely and often..which is so refreshing from someone who has reached superstar status. Adele is self effacing, funny and a little blue which is formidable combination...I was impressed by her vocal stamina and her willingness to put it all on the line song after wonderful song....Adele , in my opinion will define this era in a singer song writer she stands alone at the peak of her craft.....The fact that she seems indifferent to the trappings of success and remains true to herself, grounded, funny, genuine will no doubt bode well for future success......Adele..keep setting fire to the rain.....FANFUCKINGTASTIC

Dear Adele,
I know this is a lot to read, but I hope you read it all.
My name is Lena, I just turned 13, and it is my biggest dream to meet you! I paid for my ticket to your show in Seattle with my own money ( I saved up for a year… $350!! ) and I waited for months for the big day. In preparation for the show, I made a sign that said, “It would be my dream come true to meet Adele!” When the night arrived I was so excited to see you live. As soon as you came on stage, I held up my sign, but I was yelled at by more than one person. This brought my spirits down and made me sad. I was upset, and I took it out on my mom even though she had done nothing to deserve it. Right after you had finished saying, “ I hope you all have someone in your life that you love the way I love my son.” I noticed that my mom was crying. It made me sad that I had just snapped at her, because I know that she loves me very much. When we got home, we both collapsed in a heap of tears. I love you and admire you so much, and I was really looking forward to seeing your show. You did a fabulous job, but every time I think about that night I start to cry. It was my first concert, and it makes me sad that it went the way it did. I know this is a lot to ask, but would it be possible for me and my mom to get tickets to another one of your shows? I want both of us to have the fun we wanted to have in Seattle, because I know that my mom was also really looking forward to the show. Also is it possible for me to meet you? I that is not possible, a response from you would make my day! I really love how all of your songs come from your heart. You are my favorite singer in the entire world!
All my love, Lena Millard-Kish

I understand if u can't, but just thought I would ask as Jess would be beside herself, and it would cap off a perfect birthday!
Thank you for listening.

I cant believe how your music touches my heart and soul. I have never felt this way about anything! You really make me cry every time I listen to you. I love that you are getting the recognition you deserve. You are a beautiful lady, mother, and singer.
Your songs come at a perfect time in my life. It's like you wrote them for ME!! Keep on singing pretty lady, keep on singing.

My daughter and her fiance are planning to get married on 20th July 2018 and I would love you to make a surprise appearance. Now I could give you a load of slaver and beg but know as you are a down to earth girl i will spare you that. I would just love to make their wedding day even more perfect with you walking through the door. I know your a busy girl but if you could do this then you would make my Carli and Wes' day. Thank you for reading this Adele.x

Dear Adele

Hi, this is Mohammad Heidari from Iran.
I am indeed one of your fans and just wanted to share my feelings with you, whether you are gonna read it or not, due to your busy life!
At the time, I am listening to "Don't You Remember"
and crying meanwhile. You know, there are some choices of you make me feel uncomfortable, like the constant changing in your make up and style of video clips. In one hand, it may make you fresh and feel like uptodated to the new fashion and there are possibilities to earn way more Fans!
But as fan from somewhere you may not even want to think about, from the place under ceaseless accusations of terrorism and risk for mankind and firm sanctions of the whole world, and etc.
I have feeling for you, I may not be able to see you in your concerts ever, but when I see you have changed your preferences, it makes me sad. Cause it feels like a shortcoming in my memory that who i loved doesn't exist like that anymore. It is not nostalgical anymore.
thats it,
your sincere
Mohammad Heidari

I'm writing to adele to show how special she is to me and how much her music has touched me.. I discovered Adele in 2010 when I first got together with my now husband. We both share the love of Adeles music and we're excited to discover such a fantastic , talented new artist. I've waited 7 years for her to tour Australia and wanted tickets so bad I spent two days calling nova 100 to win some, it's just so happened that her concert dates fell on the weekend of our first wedding anniversary (paper/tickets) how perfect, I had to get tickets! Spent so much time calling nova I nearly lost my job! But I won and was exstatic! i get the tickets from nova Tuesday (the week of the concert) and find out they are way up high, level 3 of etihad when I was willing to buy the best tickets on offer.. I wish I had known what "winning" tickets would be.. I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to win them.. So upset with what we won I then had to buy tickets from viagogo and pay double the price. My husband didn't speak to me for three days but I know it will be totally worth it! Can't wait to see u Adele!! Do us proud or my husband will kill me!! Lol.. I know you will be amazing, thanks for Sharing your gift with the world!if u see this by some miracle, shout out to us and get me back in the good books with my husband! Love from Justine Salvatico Melbourne Australia , etihad stadium , Saturday 18th march, level 1 ,aisle 11 row n seats 16/17 xxxxx
