The next year she received the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" award and won the BBC Sound of 2008. Her debut album, 19, was released in 2008 to much commercial and critical success. It certified four times platinum in the UK, and double platinum in the US. Her career in the US was boosted by a Saturday Night Live appearance in late 2008. At the 2009 Grammy Awards, Adele received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Adele released her second album, 21, in early 2011. The album was well received critically and surpassed the success of her debut, earning the singer six Grammy Awards in 2012 including Album of the Year, equaling the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in one night. The album has also led to her receiving numerous other awards, including two Brit Awards and three American Music Awards. The album has been certified 16 times platinum in the UK; in the US the album has held the top position longer than any other album since 1985, and is certified Diamond. According to IFPI, the album has sold over 26 million copies worldwide.

Adele is the first female in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to have three singles in the top 10 at the same time as a lead artist, and the first female artist to have two albums in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously. 21 is the longest running number one album by a female solo artist on the UK and US Albums Chart. In 2012, Adele was listed at number five on VH1′s 100 Greatest Women In Music, and the American magazine Time named Adele one of the most influential people in the world. In 2013, she received an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for her song "Skyfall", written for Skyfall, the twenty-third James Bond film.

Hello my name is Jamie and I know you have a big heart and love helping people this is my story and hopefully you can help me and my family have been struggling for year. And almost three years ago we were homeless and I just started my job at a hotel and when the manager found out we were homeless he offered me a deal I couldn't refuse mind you I didn't think it was a forever plan but we have been staying in a hotel for 3 years now and everything was ok until about 6 months ago when I found out me and my fiancé were being ripped off by the manager so we brought it up to the owner and he was like well let's just forget the past so we were like well there is no other option so we let it go for now and now we are in fear that we will be kicked out with out notice I can't afford to move anywhere because he refuses to give me a raise and if I get another job and he finds out then he will kick us out I don't have any family to turn to we want out of here and we want to move out of state to get away from everything I'm a hard worker and I take lease in my work and in my family I just feel like I am failing my family because I live in constant fear that the next day we wake up we won't have a place to live and I don't want to be homeless again. So I am asking deep down from the bottom of my heart if you could help us I would pay it back or pay if forward I'm just stuck and in fear and I don't know where else to turn. The story is a lot bigger then this but it's way to much to text I'm just asking for some help please

My wife is a HUGE fan of Adele. So much, in fact, that I contemplated throwing her phone out of the window countless times for listening to her songs endlessly on repeat. I wanted more than anything to get her concert tickets for her 2016 tour, however, when I looked at prices, I realized that I couldnt afford them.I feel completely horrible that I cant do this for my wife. Her face lit up like I've never seen when she found out that Adele was touring here.it seriously breaks my heart...

I literally was on hold for over an hour trying to buy tickets to the Adele concert in Seattle in July (either the 25th or 26th), to finally get a hold of a person telling me they are sold out!?! I literally cried because I could afford $145 for a ticket but not $500.... I just need 2. What do I do? i have had a really hard year and this was going to make me see some sunshine in my dark days... Now it's just sadness again!

Thank you.

My mom being the funny one she is, I thought she was just trying to hide that she actually got them for me since Christmas was right around the corner. But Christmas came and I asked. She said she was serious and maybe next time. I'm not sure if there is going to be a next time. I'm hoping I can get tickets for my mother and I. We would love to spend this opportunity together and experience you Adele. We both love you dearly. It would mean so much. Much love, Madalyn

Just want to say thanks for your efforts in trying to allow fans purchase your concert tickets without being "scalped" on the secondary market. Sadly, I'm one of the many millions who didn't get lucky enough to get tickets on the day they were released via Songkick or through the Public Sale. Nonetheless, I'll continue to watch Ticketmaster to see if tickets become available. Just wondering if unsold tickets that might become available could be sold through Songkick so as to avoid the scalpers. Thanks again!

Hi Adele,
I am a huge fan and love your music. I lost my partner she died beside me, I tried to revive her but no success, she died on our 16th snniversary.
I have tried to get tickets every time you have a concert in Scotland and London but always miss out, your songs have so much meaning to me. I'm sad that I'm going to miss another concert as this would have helped my recovery. Love you always

I love your sense of humor as well as your awesome voice Adele and truly believe if we met we would be good friends! I loved your car karaoke video, I play it over and over and it always makes me laugh. Of the ones he has done, yours was the most real and sincere! Loved it and your NY concert. WELCOME BACK...I have missed you!

If you want any hope of Adele seeing any communication from you, your best bet is trying to meet her in person. Otherwise, your next best hope is to write her a letter and mailing it to her representatives. Use can use the address listed above to mail your letter. If you want, you can also pay FanMail either $9.99 to mail your letter or $14.99 for us to mail your letter along with an autograph request and a stamped, self-addressed envelope for that autograph to get mailed back to you.

Check out FanMailDelivery at http://fanmail.com/fmdelivery/order-form

Is it guaranteed that I will get an autograph if I send a request? And is $15 on top of postage or instead?

Submitted by Cory on

As stated on the FanMail Delivery page, we can't guarantee anything after we put your letter in the mail. The service is to send a letter (and for extra money, include a SASE for an autograph/picture/letter to be sent back to you). The $14.99 is for you to pay me to print the letter, pack an envelope with the letter and an envelope with your address listed and enough postage for a glossy photo and letter to be sent back, and my going to the post office to pay shipping for the letter (including the extra $3.50ish it is for the letter to be sent with a tracking) so it can go where it needs to go.

Hello,
My name is Laurinda Beardsley. I live in Wisconsin. My grandmother has been a fan of yours since day one. I bought her your first CD and she has your whole collection. Not to long ago I was sitting at her dining room table watching your new music videos as she sang along and knew everyword. My grandmother was born with a rare heart disease called Epsteins Anomaly. She was never supposed to do anything in her life that she has. She became very ill and because no one has ever lived as long as her with this disease, there was not much the doctors could do to save her. My grandma has been in the hospital for 3 weeks and has decided that she is ready to pass. She is ready to see my great grandparents and my little sister. She has very minimal time as they are keeping her comfortable as she leaves us. I wanted to show her one last video of you to see her smile once again and I think she would. Is there anyway you could send me a short video clip? My grandmas name is Karen Kutschenreuter. I know you probably get emails like this daily but I just wanted to try to do one last thing for her before she leaves us all.
You are an amazing performer, singer songrwriter and I love your music.

Thank you for reading this!

I have been a big Adele fan from the beginning. Every time a new album comes out, somehow, it seems to be completely apropos to what's happening in my life at that time. I think you're brilliant, down to earth, beautiful and, most of all, your voice is velvet. When I heard you were coming to Toronto, I was ecstatic. The ACC is a huge venue and without good tickets, you just watch a screen. Still, the highest seats are over $500 and the best, over $4,000! It seems so un-Adele-Like! I know she/you don't set the price, but, do you realize how many of your loyal, from-the-beginning fans, just can't do that? I was so deflated when I realized you'd be right here and I just couldn't be there to see you in person. I'll be 66 by then, not exactly a little old lady but who knows if there'll be another chance. Just wanted to point it out. Kind of like the proverbial carrot in front of the donkey except for a lot of us, we just can't reach out and grab it! Sorry to see that. I'm sure it will be an amazing concert. That's all you give. I wish you the best and thank you for all the enjoyment your music has provided me with. h

Greetings Adele,
You are lovely and your voice is so rich. I'm a much older woman than you. I want to strongly encourage you to keep the feminine look. Long hair. Beautiful dresses that cover skin. There are many women in the world who tire of the punk, sexy look- it's overdone. Stay true to your style and your inner self. Stay British. So much classier than we Americans. Best!

Hi Adele! I realize that you have thousands (millions?) of fans so I don't know if you will ever see this but it's worth a shot....my mom is 71 and absolutely adores you and your music so I decided to treat her and take her to your concert. I forfeited going on a family vacation to use that money towards the tickets. Unfortunately, just like everywhere else, tickets to your upcoming 2016 concert sold out within minutes so I was not able to get any. So I looked for other avenues to purchase tickets. I've bought and sold all kinds of household items and tickets on craigslist so even though there are a lot of scams out there I wasn't too worried since I hadn't had any problems. Well I guess I should have been :-(. Because I paid $400 for two tickets and they turned out to be counterfeit. So I thought I would reach out to you in the hope that there might be another way to purchase two tickets?? Im in Chicago, IL so it's at the United Center location. I would be ever so grateful so I could surprise my mother. She has been my sisters and my rock all our lives. Thanks for taking the time to read this Adele. You are the best!

I can buy a ticket, but is there a way to meet her prior to her concert or I can wait outside till after.. (it would have to be before) I was a combat medic, and while we were in Iraq, we would here bombs go off in the distance. We wold put adele 19 on full blast soit would drown out some for the patients . And of course us. Chasing pavements. Also in 2011 a couple soldiers from Fort Campbell were to see you in Nashville. You lost your voice. Now that I am completely out of the military. I know I can't be around so many people. I just would like an autograph maybe..Please, I hope someone reads these.
I can get a ticket but I can't go in.

Just a wee message for Adele. My stepson and his girlfriend have just won their wedding on out local radio station in company with hilt on hotels. I would have to say that I put the win down to them sacrificing their coveted tickets to see your show in Glasgow for the sake of winning their wedding which they did by a difference of £175.00. They managed to sell their tickets (they were really gutted by the way) and all money raised was for a local charity cash for kids. So I would like to say a big big thank you to you for being such a brilliant act that people were screaming to get these oh so coveted tickets.

Adele.... I work in the office of an elementary school and the music room is directly below us. That's where the Grade 8 band (13 year-olds) practise - they use wind and reed instruments plus drums. Lately, they have been practising one of your songs "I could have had it all" I think is the name of it. It would give you a thrill to hear them - they stay in at all the recesses to practise. I am so proud of them for working so hard and making great music. Just thought you would like to know the positive influence you have on young people.

Adele,

I am hoping for your assistance to help a Mother give back to her daughter.

Years ago my daughter Paxton saw you on YouTube before you became famous, she followed you and watched around as everyone else in the world found her little secret, her little find, -- which was you.

This admiration she had for you, inspired her to be a better musician and artist and helped her deal with times in her life that were difficult and hard.

For the last 5 years I battled with COPD and at the beginning of 2015, I had a lung capacity of 13% and there was not much hope of finding a match for a transplant due to a number of reasons.

But against all odds, I received the gift of life on April 15th . My dear daughter Paxton drove me to the hospital to receive my new lungs and continued to support me through my recovery process for 3 long months of clinic visits, lung function tests, x-rays, rehabilitation, blood tests.

For the past 5 years and then through my recovery, she never complained, never once got discouraged , instead , she encouraged me, motivated me and inspired me, even during my worst and most desperate hours. She wrote a song for me called “Breathe ” which has brought all of my friends and family to tears.

Adele, I want to give back to her, and you can help me do that.

We were able to purchase tickets to see you in Amsterdam on June 1st, and are going to make a family trip from Canada to see you. So I am reaching out to see if there is any way possible my daughter could meet you before or after the concert.

I realize you probably get thousands of these requests, but I have to try, what would only take 2 or 3 minutes of your time would be a lifetime event for a young girl who has held you in the highest esteem for so many years of her life and she is a young girl who more than deserves having some of her dreams come true. . .

Sincerely,
Wanda

Hi Adele. My name is Anishka and I am 12 years old, and I live in Seattle, Washington. I looove you. I look up to you. I admire your personality and how you are confident for who you are. I love your music. Singing an music take up a big part of my life, and that is thanks to you. Whenever I am in a bad mood, or the best mood ever, your music makes me feel so powerful. So strong. You know how to have fun too, and you don't change yourself for others. I admire every single thing about you. When I grow up, I want to be a hero just like you. All your songs are so amazing, so heartfelt, that there is nothing that makes you feel more alive, than when you are listening to or singing your music. When I heard you were Turing, I was so excited, but then all the tickets got sold out before my family could buy some, and now people are reselling the tickets at prices that are too expensive. In school, lots of my friends criticize your music, and make fun of me for idolizing and loving you, but that wont affect me, as I learned from you to not let what others say change you, and to be confident for who you are and what you think. I dream of one day being able to go to your concert. Being able to meet you. Being able to sing with you. I guarantee, that would be the best day of my life. Thank you adele for being you. Thank you adele for making music as great as it is. Thank you adele, for making my life amazing. I will always keep dreaming to meet you, hoping it will happen. Keep being you adele. That's what I love you for.
