Just wanted to write you to thank you for making my mother smile and laugh after the death of my father! My dad died 4 years ago from leukemia at age 62. He was the best dad, husband and grandfather anyone could ask for. He was a deacon in our church and did lots of mission work. He was the most selfless person Ive ever known. After hurricane Katrina he rented a U-haul and parked in a local shopping center for donations and made several trips to take water and other needed items. He and my mother were married for 43 years when he passed. Her heart was broken and I promised him I would take care of her. I couldn't however mend her broken heart. One day she came over to my house and me and my kids were watching your movie (Madea goes to jail) and she sit and watched and laughed for the first time in months. I then bought her the movie so she could and laugh during the hard days. She has since ordered every play and movie that you have made and watched them all. I want to thank you for making her laugh again and also for always having a good story in every movie! She and I went to your play (Madea on the run) in Knoxville and absolutely loved it! This was the first play we have been able able to attend! Thanks so much for your humor and not being ashamed of the gospel!!!

I love looking at your plays and movies, you are so creative and funny. When i first saw your first play at the fox theater i was hooked. From then on whenever came out with a play or a movie, if i couldn't afford to go, well all i could say is walmart here i come, i was very blessed that i was able to afford to go to the first play in the fox theater. I have a situation that i really just want someone to hear me out. I am a grandmother of three girls whom are in foster care because of my daughter boyfriend whom is now locked up molested my oldest granddaughter. I getting rail roaded in this case because of things that my daughter said that is totally untrue. I'm fighting against two counties (Dekalb and Rockdale county). I have been cooperating with them sense this case has started in Rockdale county in March of this year. My daughter came to stay with me in (Dekalb county) she was pregnant at the time with her third child and when she had her third child that's when Rockdale county sent a order to take the baby. I am so frustrated and angry because no one ever questioned me when this case got started and i felt like i don't have a voice to say hey, these things that are being said about me are totally untrue. I can't afford an attorney because they all charge too much and I'm not going to sit by and let my grandkids grow up in foster care. Please i need assistance in trying to get my story out. I don't know who to turn to. I tried to go through legal aid and they stated that they couldn't help me. I tried reaching out to channel2 and they never responded back, i guess my story wasn't important enough for them. I know in this world everything is about money, what about for the people who don't have the money to fight with and they just tossed away like they don't matter, Mr. Perry I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fight for my grandkids. Please read this, i begging for help.

Good morning mr perry. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to make your take on princess and the frog. I was and still am shocked about how disney protraied her as a broke young african american from the slums of Louisiana, and how they completely rewrote the grims brothers version of the story. In their story she was already a wealthy princess. If you are able to make the movie more acurate to the german grims brothers stories i feel this will empower the minds of the younger generation that disney is corrupting.

I am a retired disabled veteran and served in the Gulf. Since then I had not found much interest in movies and TV shows until I started watching "The haves and have not". The actors were so powerful and got me completely wrapped around the story line. My wife then got me started on your movies and loves Madea. I then learned that you love RC planes and found a picture of you with a giant RC airliner. My wife had recently bought me an E-Flite airliner too. I am now more actively involved in building large RC scale helicopters. I have an attention to detail (Thank you US Army) and do my best to replicate a full scale helicopter of my choosing and make the model look realistic. Thank you for bringing joy to my life through your work!

First as a man . I want to start off saying it is a blessing to finally get this oportunity to reach out to u. I want to thank u for being a spiritual refrence for me and my families future dreams . 

And what i mean by that is watching you on tv brings Hopes and mostly Determination for being successful.  But to get to the point I want to tell u about myself . My name is Gregory Beray Hale lll. A black male Iiving in Indianapolis Indiana.  I am 21 years old enrolled in college finishing  my 2nd year at the ART INSTITUTE OF INDIANAPOLIS. Been working for UPS. .and  I have 3 younger brothers. I go to church at NEW BIRTH FELLOWSHIP and my uncle is the pastor going on more than 9 years.

 Over these past few years there has been certain points in my life where my grandmother has been telling me to reach out to you about my dreams and ideas for my future and that you would be the man to talk to. I personally love your movies and your work . Knowing that is got me striving/ motivated and even determined as days go by gradually growing more impatient . This is leading me to the greatest challenge in life for me and transitioning into manhood. 

I have a strong passion for art/ music. God has blessed me with a gift. I am gratefull that I kno what my purpose is in life . And where my goals would lead me to. All for who I love. All to eliminate the struggle phase . My mom has worked so hard to get me where I am at now . Family is all that's kept us going . But it seems everyone around me is having there hearts corrupted by this phase of struggling. Prayer and God is the only power we have . That's all the power we need .knowing that I'm utilizing this in all in my words toward you. For what I feel is what God wants me to take action upon. 

I have been writing a tv series and currently still progressing since I was in 6th grade . There hasn't been a day that went by where I havnt came up with new ideas put into my work.  My dream is to be a commited actor in the film industry and a legend of being the best producer of my series . A legend of being a great artist . To me my ideas are important and valuable . And I jus want my footsteps to be ordered in the right path. I feel like you are the key. I'm taking all chances I have for you are my Resort to open up to through this letter . 

I Pray that I get proper guidance from u. I pray I get to meet u and collect the information I need to one day step out the boundaries of indiana and fafill my goal to watch myself on a tv show one day and maybe even a future madea movie . That would be the best moment of my entire life. But I'm willing to make those sacrifices in order to be that actor I always dreamed of .I'm willing to commit myself to all the time and effort I need to be a producer /writer / actor . I am the mother of my son Jesus Alvarez Coreano and my son Jesus Alvarez Coreano got into a huge accident and he lost memory and in this accident his best friend lost his life and he is being accused of many things and God knows that this is not true. I ask nothing of you but just prayer. I have been by his bedside since the 18th of April that i received this horrible news and although i hear everyone speak i just tell the Lord "you are in control and if you gave me this trial to bear then give me guidance to overcome this pain". I have seen your movies and they have been a blessing to my very small family of me and my sons. I ask of nothing else but your prayers or whomever is reading this. I ask that God take control when my son has to face trial.

I just wanted to write and tell you how much I have been helped by your movies and plays. My life has been really messed up since my surgery and all a few years ago, and I was close to the edge. Loss of home and job and all can make ending it real attractive. I am still in that position in life but the thoughts of ending things has gone away and I have faith that one day things will get better. Gotta run, borrowed the inet ti post this, God bless.

hey, I was wondering if you and dream works could hook up to make more biblical cartoon masterpieces like prince of Egypt and Joseph king of dreams. Samson and denial in the lions den would be great for new animated films! I also think the biblical stories would be great with people of color in them on the own network! i noticed that the soaps are heavy crowd pleasers but there are many of us who would love a different type of entertainment.

Hi, Mr. Perry -Madea am writing because am a young woman that has had a hard time holding on to my faith, I live as a good person at least I believe so. I grew up in the house with my grandma and other family members while Mom lived with her boyfriend, I didn't mind living with Grandma and Grandpa they taught me to love and cherish the word of God. When my mom came to get me and my brother I made God a promise to never turn away from him, am 42 now and I have kept that promise. When I take a good look around or shall I say live and learn it's more people selling their souls for the American Dream. Now Mr. Perry don't get me wrong I want the American Dream also! But I would like to get it though the Grace of God with his blessings poured out for me, so I went to college got an education, don't do drugs give my all to the Lord try my best to be obedient (No Body is Prefect). I work and am appreciated with the blessings I have received but the closer I get or think am getting to my American Dream the more I am hated. By Family, Friends, Children, Co-workers, Lover's, and Strangers. I understand when Jesus says the world would hate you just as they have hated me, before he was crucified. When I say am holding on to FAITH am saying that it seems like Satan's winning when I know My God is Stronger. I prayed for the devil to flee from me so I can have peace and live until it's time for me to go home to heaven. ( Heaven is my goal in this lifetime). I know he has a plan for me even though I don't see it, I know he would always be there and protect me. But it becomes stressful not knowing when or what's going to happen next. I have had hard times and I have been without a home or food, friends, family, and love. But I held on to FAITH knowing that it was a lesson to be learned. You see Mr. Perry to me a fool is someone that goes through different difficult changes in life but always has the same out come and they never learn from thier mistakes. I learned from my mistakes so I would not repeat them. Doing the right thing, being a good person, trusting in God letting him guide me and still I get knocked down by the workers of satan this makes it hard to keep holding on. First off, thank you for being genuine in your endeavors. You show so many versions of the "black" family. You don't stereotype your own people. Now the nitty-gritty, I need to know what happened with Andrea, William, Alice, the Cartwrights and every single person and family on this movie. LOL. I don't know how nobody else feels but I have been waiting for a followup. I would prefer a sequel to A Family That Preys rather than a Madea Boo 2. Madea was a punk in Boo. She let them kids get away with too much. It wasn't the Madea I know and love. This would be a lucrative follow up because I don't think I'm the only one waiting. There's so many different ways this story can progress and I'm biting my nails trying to find out what is gonna happen.

Mr. Perry, I am writing to encourage you to continue on and branch out. We heard about your plays through the black grapevine. We have been supporting you from the start. Consider reaching the public directly. You can create an app., or an internet channel like YouTube and touch a generation. All of the young people in my life do not buy cable. We are going straight to the internet. We watch on many devices including t.v.. Can you create a network on the internet? I bet you can. If you create something that needs a subscription fee, like Netflix, try to never go over the cost of one hour of minimum wage. Get your money from ads. God bless your work according to his will. Keep including a multicultural cast. Don't forget Asians. Our nation needs to see racial, political, and religious unity. It is possible to put people representing all of these backgrounds in your movies. "When at all possible, live peaceably with one another." To God be the glory. Take care.
