I just want to take a second and THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for bringing me laughter and uplifting my spirits during what has been the hardest year and a half of my and all three children of mine lives!! Wow is all I can say!! You are truly amazing!!!!

I love you Melissa and when I heard you were creating a line for the plus size woman, I knew you would include all of us. I was very disappointed that you didn't include the 4X and5X woman. You know our struggle and know designers think anyone that's a 4x and 5x doesn't care about fashion. Not true!!!! I guess I will have to just admire your wonderful fashion. I wanted to send u a letter...something else than this as its for everyone to see. Nothing twisted or weird ( I'm just as normal as they come)(ok ...I lie too) Bahahaha. I'm from a small town in Saskatchewan. Typical graduated and stayedin town where I grew up.Fell in love had kids and all that jazz. Live on a farm outside of town. Have businesses.( the hubby and I not the same ones as we would kill each other if we did hahaha)
I am writing because you are truly one of the funniest people I've ever seen. Not to sound creepy when I say this BUT DAM!! We would be a blast together. I am told all the time how much I'm like you. I get called your characters all the time. Ok so not to ya know" not to toot me own horn" I'm dam frickn funny....I am...I know I am ....I thrive on that sh*t. Anything to make someone laugh. Even at my own expense. I would never do a show or nothing on stage of my own stuff. I just like to feed of people and be crazy and silly. But my problem is....it's so lonely when I'm not. Have you 3ver felt this way? I'm short a lil on the thicker side. I have amazing and beautiful friends. A wonderful husband. But feel such a void when I can't act like me...like we'll. ..an ass. I have recently changed jobs. From waitressing basically from 14 to owning my own restaurant. To now being at home with my 2 handsome hilarious fast paced boys. My step daughters have moved back and they are amazing. I well guess what I'm asking is ...How do you know ? How do u know your worth it? How is being enough for everyone else enough and being satisfied. I want to laugh my ass off with you just once sit around in our friends garage and giggle and laugh and be jackass. Just to say I got to meet ya. I think that would do it. Just thought I'd put that out there ya know eh!! If ya have some time away sometime Kerrobert can be fun ya might know. They say Laughter is the Best Medicine. During my 5 yr battle with a rare sarcoma, Leiomyosarcoma, I have often enjoyed watching and laughing at Melissa McCarthy's humorous antics until my sides ached from laughing. Just about every movie and Mike and Molly tv show has elicited belly-laughs from me. And that laughter was sorely needed during chemotherapy, radiation, surgery after surgery (although laughter at that time hurt like a son of a gun!).

Retired and enjoying as much of life as we possibly can, we decided to go see The Boss at our Annapolis, MD theaters, Bow Tie Cinemas. Everyone said is was hysterical. We went to the 2 pm show....just The Hubster (44 yrs) and I and 10 other people in the theater.

Before The Boss started, we were audibly assaulted with a barrage of Mother F'ers, F You's, pictures of dildos in varying sizes in technicolor and Dolby Sound at full blast with multiple movie previews. Based on the language, we have decided to avoid seeing these movies not only at the cinema, but on cable and free tv. It was disgusting, foul and totally unnecessary.

Audience started to leave the theater.

The previews were disgusting - and definitely not entertaining. Please do not get the impression that I am some holier than thou Bible puncher. I grew up in a home with a WWII Air Force bomber vet with a litany of every swear and curse word you could ever imagine. Heard 'em all. And while I grew up 'de-sensitised' to the language, it does not mean that I employ this language in a day to day situation, nor do I find it entertaining. The trailers before your "The Boss" were disgusting. The movie preview featuring dildos even more so at 2pm in the afternoon.

I truly wanted to see your movie, and I did, despite my husband wanting to walk out. Please, you are too talented a comedian and actress to succumb to this level of smut. Be the change in Hollywood many Americans wish to see and hear.

We love you at any weight but I think it is wonderful that you lost 50 LBS. It has got to feel better and it looks good on you! You were always beautiful but now you sparkle a little more. If what I read is true, I am sorry the Mike & Molly show canceled. This is just the wrong message. It was never really about your weight but about your talent and acting that made the show so successful. They will get the backlash and they will deserve it. Apparently time to move to new and better things. Better people.

For being alive (screw that death hoax) and to continue to perform your riotous roles for many years to come!

Just wanted to say that because of you I am going to audition for a comedy in the spring called "Sordid Lives". I pray I can pull off the part of either Ty Williamson, or Brother Boy. Wish me luck and hope I get the part! I wish I had had this ambition when i was in high school. but, better late than never!

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for reading this letter. I can’t begin to imagine now little time you must have to do so with all the work that you do as well as raising your family. With you fan base growing every day, I know you must hear this all the time but I really am your biggest fan. I have everything I could possibly collect without being put on some list (haha). You have inspired my life in such a positive way since I saw you in that first episode of Mike and Molly to every tv/film role I have seen you in since. My friends and I have paid full price for movie tickets for movies you have only cameoed in for five minutes because we love you so much. Because like sunshine, you only need to be there for a minute to brighten up everyone’s day. I realise how cheesy all of this sounds and I know it’s probably the 738th letter you’ve received today with the exact same message in. One day I aspire to be a movie critic and I am usually difficult to please especially with comedies but to me, you have never been in a bad movie. Nor have you ever been short of phenomenal in every role you have played.
I only have a few good things in my life and this doesn’t make me sad as I have learnt to appreciate these things all the more. You are one of my favourite people not only because of how naturally funny you are or because of how good of an actress you are but because of what an incredible role model you are to not only me but all my sisters and all women around the world.

I will continue to follow you in your career and try my very hardest not to get arrested for stalking you from across the seas. Please just continue to be you.

I have voted Democrat and Republican over the years. Personally I think the press Secretary will be gone in the near future. But you entertain me. Or you used to entertain me. Now you are just another liberal looking for a place to complain. I will chose not to go to your films or view TV with you. It's old stuff and getting tiresome. The clothing is well made with distinctive design. Speaking as a plus size 60 year old from the Chicago area who loves fashion, you make a great clothing line and in my opinion you are one of the funniest actors out there. Ever Forgive me “ and i was BLOWN AWAY by your performance. I laughed, i cried. Best movie i have seen in a very long time. I went home and told my husb if you aren’t nominated for best actress than the Academy Awards are a farce... you were incredible!!! I always enjoy your comedic acting but this proved to me that you were holding back.. you were amazing. You are on my list of favorite actresses.- Right up there wth Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock. I don't take to reaching out on social media, but the criticism for the bunny train/dress has caused me to do so. I did not think the outfit was derogatory to the costume industry at all - in fact, I think it spoke to the power outfits can convey without words, which is one of the reasons it is a category at the Oscars to begin with - like cinematography, it can easily be a strong character in the film. I saw The Favourite and most the other films nominated this year and I did not find the bunny nod disrespectful in the least. I found it hilarious. BTW, fantastic performance in Can You Ever Forgive Me? which I saw at TIFF - glad the Academy recognized it.

I have never looked up an actor, actress before to just let them know how much I enjoy the movies they are in. You are funny and fun to watch. Seeing someone play parts that reflect some of the things I have experienced in life and laugh about them, help put a light on what is NOT important and how life can be great when you can laugh at yourself. You are beautiful and seem so sure of yourself. It is an inspiration. I do not watch many comedies, but will watch anything you star in!

Just wanted to say thank you for a lovely and heart-warming movie...well done.
I lost a son at the age of four years and four months 27 years ago, and my husband suffered a breakdown.
We separated and divorced and the repercussions for our older child have been epic.
Your character could have been my double during those dark days!
The interjection of the Starling as comedy relief was priceless and the end-scene had me in stitches laughing.
Your co-stars O'Dowd and Kline were incredibly down-to-earth and totally believable. I loved them.

We need another sitcom with you in it. Another Mike and Molly, later years?? I am constantly watching your reruns. You make me laugh...thank you!
