Piers Morgan is a British journalist, television host and former television talent competition judge currently working in the United States. He is editorial director of First News, a national newspaper for children published in the UK. He began hosting Piers Morgan Live on CNN on January 17, 2011. The show replaced Larry King Live in the 9:00 pm timeslot following King's retirement. Piers Morgan Live was cancelled by CNN in February 2014 and aired its final broadcast on March 28, 2014.
Morgan is a former judge on America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, as well as a winner of Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
In the UK, Morgan worked as a writer and editor for several British tabloids, including The Sun, News of the World and the Daily Mirror. In November 2012, he was heavily criticized in the official findings of the Leveson Inquiry, when Lord Leveson stated that comments made in Morgan's testimony about phone hacking were "utterly unpersuasive" and "clearly prove is that he was aware that it was taking place in the press as a whole and that he was sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it".
Morgan has written eight books, including four volumes of memoirs.

Gun control
I am from Honolulu Hawaii and been watching videos recently on your view on gun control and to me it is completely ridiculous. You bring up the same facts and your just very repeatative , yes you prove that there was mass shootings and they were done by semi automatic rifles and that is a sad thing but what you can't comprehend is that it is not the gun that did it. It is the person, which is why instead of people like you trying to ban specific guns (which would not help at all) you should embrace the simple fact that guns save lives. If there was someone in that theater with a concealed weapon I am pretty sure it would have Gone differently and it is better then having innocent civilians in their unarmed. And if you are really so strong against guns or certain guns then please explain to me why Britain has a total ban on guns but yet have a higher violent crime rate them us? Or even Mexico which has the highest? Yes I know you will come back saying "britian has less then a 100 deaths by guns with in this period of time where as the United States has much more". BUT YOUR VIOLENT CRUME RATE IS A LOT HIGHER!! Which is something that doesn't seem to sink in with you. Where there is guns the murder rate is much lower. I have a lot to say about this topic but those like Alex jones , Ben Shapiro , Ted nugent , Jesse Ventura already said all that is needed to be said. but yet you still push away facts and insult. We can differ in opinion but to me after watching a variety of interviews you just seem very stubborn and not open minded which is not something we need in the media.

Piers, I am very often following your commentary on various subjects. I am agreeing with a lot of your explanations. However, I feel I must point out one big negative in your interview behaviour. I used to do the same thing until it was pointed out to me. I have changed and I feel the same will be happening to you. "Please stop interrupting other commentators" Not only is it rude, but it is also annoying.
