Short bio:

Betty White is an American actress, comedian, singer, author, producer and television personality. In 2013, the Guinness World Records awarded White with having the longest television career for a female entertainer. To contemporary audiences, White is best known for her television roles as Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973–77) and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls (1985–92). The Writers Guild of America have gone to include both sitcoms in their list of the 101 Best Written TV Series Of All Time. Since the death of co-star Rue McClanahan in 2010, she is the only surviving Golden Girl. As of 2010, she stars as Elka Ostrovsky in the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland, for which she has won two consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also hosted NBC's practical-joke show Betty White's Off Their Rockers, which resulted in three consecutive Emmy nominations.

White is regarded as a pioneer of American television for being one of the first women to have creative control in front of and behind the camera; she is also noted for being the first woman to produce a sitcom which contributed to her receiving the honorary title as the Mayor of Hollywood in 1955. In a career that has spanned more than 70 years, White has gone on to win six Emmy Awards (five for acting), receiving 23 Emmy nominations over her career, including being the first woman to receive an Emmy for game show hosting (for the short-lived Just Men!) and is the only woman to have won an Emmy in all performing comedic categories. In May 2010, White became the oldest person to guest-host Saturday Night Live, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award. White also holds the record for longest span between Emmy nominations for performances—her first was in 1951 and her most recent was in 2011, a span of 60 years—and has become the oldest nominee overall as of 2014, aged 92. She is also the oldest winner of a competitive Grammy Award, which she won in 2012.

Due to her pioneering efforts in early television and her acting legacy, the American Comedy Awards, the Screen Actors Guild, the Television Critics Association and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts have all awarded White with lifetime achievement awards, recognizing her contribution to television. White has also been formally inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.

She has made regular appearances on the game shows Password, Match Game and The $25,000 Pyramid and played recurring roles on Mama's Family, Boston Legal, The Bold and the Beautiful, That '70s Show, and Community.

White is also known for her animal rights activism. She has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Los Angeles Zoo and has been a member of the board of directors since 1974.

This is my mom's favorite actress, in fact, she has movie and concert tickers, albums, shirts with autograph collections. Every time my mom watched her movie she always laughs. Gladly I see this, I will this to her. Anyway, if you want a game you can smile and have fun at the same time download Choices game for free. For the additional games, get the hill climb racing 2 mobile game • fingersoft. I highly suggested playing this with your friends.

Betty White, I grew up watching you with my dearest Grandmother and I've loved you ever since. You have such a beautiful soul and you are so humble. I am also an advocate for our Whimsical beast animals. It truly melts my heart knowing a legendary Starlet as yourself cares for the wellbeing of animals and be their voice. Thank you and many blessings Ms.White.💗

I wanted to say I concur with what you say about Ms. White. Recently my grandmother passed away on 2/8 at the age of 97. She had given me/son a Pekignese almost 15 years ago. Well my little dog Anna passed away on 6/29. My grandmother wanted to cheer me up,because I was a single mom- having difficulties on every level. Well my grandmother and my dog kept me happy. Ms. White truly makes me laugh and her love of animals inspires me. So does my grandmother and my little dog Anna. This was my son's first dog and he grew up with her. So it has been very difficult for him as well. But I wanted to say. Thanks to Betty for loving animals. There are a few of us out there that are passionate for animals.

Dear Betty, 60 years ago I was the teenager who worked at Boxheim Kennel in Millwood, NY. It was always such a delight when you would stop by and visit. After work a group of my friends would, occasionally, hangout at the local Bowling Alley. On several occasions, your stepson David, would join us. I remember, how when it was time to go home, how his Dad would just stop by, to very quietly pick him up. I have always thought, “What a Lovely Family”! Happy Birthday Betty White

Dear Betty...I am almost done beating cancer and during this "hiccup"in my life ,I was asked: "Who would you want to spend your last hours on Earth talking to?" They said , excluding family. I replied; family included it would still be Betty White. I have a gift of discernment and I believe you to be a kind, caring human being. So because I would want to go peacefully, I can think of no other person that I would be more at peace with. Thank you for bringing so much joy to so many people. {And animals}Sincerely, Debra Cameron P.S. Sending you an early wish for a very Happy Birthday!
