"Jimbo" Fisher (born October 9, 1965) is a college football coach and former player. He is currently head coach at Florida State University.
As a senior student at Samford University Fisher was the 1987 NCAA Division III National Player of the Year. From 2000 until 2006 he served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at LSU. From 2007 to 2009 he was offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and, beginning in 2007, head coach-in-waiting for the Florida State Seminoles. Bobby Bowden, Florida State's head coach of 34 years, retired after the team's appearance in its 28th consecutive bowl game on 1 January 2010. Fisher took over as head coach soon after. Florida State is Fisher's first head coaching position and he led them to a 10–4 record during his first season. His inaugural year marked FSU's first 10-win season since 2003 and first appearance in the ACC Championship Game since 2005. In the 2012 season, he led the Seminoles to 12-2 record and victory at the Orange Bowl, followed by a 14-0 record and BCS National Championship for the 2013 season.

Great defense.? Re use of ineffective RB Patrick.Faster guys on mixkoff and punt returns?? Prayers for Deondre and his badkup. Did not look good. Non call on interference at end of 1st may have been game changer. Any action on those officials for that.Also, appears to me that Deondre gets hammered long after the ball is gone?? What happened to protect the Qback??

We need a new defensive coordinator. Year after year we blow coverages against under average teams. Having top 5 recruiting classes don't mean anything if we're weak in the secondary every year

I know it's a bad year, but as a lifelong Seminole fan, I still support you and what you're trying to do with FSU Football. As I know you know, sometimes you just get a bad situation handed to you. You're making the best of it and I know we'll get em again next year!S

I’ve bled garnet and gold since 1976. As far as I’m concerned, and I know I can speak for thousands upon thousands of Noles, there are only two FSU coaches. Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher.

Coach Fisher and Staff--- Unfortunately what the program is facing today is a microcosm of today's society. The 10 or 20% of the population that makes the most noise also gets the majority of the media coverage, is often dis-respectful and tends to be driven by emotion alone..
Rest assured that the vast majority of FSU fans are very loyal, supportive, respectful and prideful.We are appreciative and grateful for your leadership and student-athlete mentoring. Few people have an understanding of the immense challenges that you and your staff face every minute of every day. Playing the ball game is the easy part.
Whatever you decide to do no doubt is a decision that has a multitude of complex factors that no one else can comprehend, yet everyone's an expert. We hope you decide to stay but understand if you don't. I for one will never forget your efforts, culture building, results and the respect for one another that you have tried to instill in the players. We are extremely grateful to you and your staff for an amazing 9 year run.--never forget this!. Best of luck with your decision.
Good by to a super coach and a role model for young men
This is a sad day for FSU grads, having some interactions with The Coach nbecause they always stay at his hotel. My son always has a little interaction with him at his hotel and stated that he is really down to earth and always professional. We will miss him and will need to become a Texas A & M fan. Mike
