Stephen Curry

Short bio:

Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry II (born March 14, 1988) is a professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Listed at 6 ft 3 in tall and weighing 190 lb, Curry plays the point guard position and is considered by some to be the greatest shooter in NBA history. The 2015 NBA Most Valuable Player and a two-time NBA All-Star, he is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry.

Curry played college basketball for Davidson. There, he was twice named Southern Conference Player of the Year and set the all-time scoring record for both Davidson and the Southern Conference. During his sophomore year, Curry also set the single-season NCAA record for three-pointers made.

Curry was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. During the 2012–13 season, he set the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season with 272. The next season, Curry and teammate Klay Thompson set the NBA record for combined threes in a season with 484 as the pair were given the nickname the "Splash Brothers". In 2014–15, Curry eclipsed his own record by knocking down his 273rd three-pointer on April 9, 2015, finishing the regular season with 286 three-pointers and was named MVP after leading the Warriors to a franchise-record and NBA-best 67 wins on the season.

On May 13, 2015, in a 98-78 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 of the Western Conference semi-finals, Curry became the fastest player to make 100 three-pointers in the playoffs, reaching the milestone in 28 games. Ray Allen held the previous record at 35. In addition, Curry became the first player in NBA history to have six three-pointers and six steals in a single playoff game. Three days later, in the series-clinching Game 6 victory, Curry made a playoff career-high 8 three-pointers, en route to 32 points, including a buzzer-beater from behind half-court. Curry propelled the Warriors to their first Western Conference Finals since 1976. On May 23, in a 115-80 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, Curry broke the record for three-pointers made in a single post-season with his 59th coming in just 13 games.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Kimberly and I am writing this letter in regards to the Golden State Warriors Basketball organization. This letter is me asking the organization to produce party supplies for kids. My son is a big Golden State Warriors fan and so I'm planning him a Golden State Warriors theme 10th Birthday Party. However the only party supplies I was able to find were napkins and balloons from party city online. Not even in store or on the fan website.  I live in the Southern California area and still I can't find anything for my child party. My son is a huge fan of the team and I have spent hundreds of dollars buy players shoes and warriors apparel. And to not have any party supplies for kids isn't right! I can't even find any party supplies with Stephen Curry on it and that's his favorite player and a person he admire. I just feel that there are kids who really love and admire the team, like my son. But yet there no supplies for their parties. As a supportive parent to my son who's a big fan of the Golden State Warriors I’m asking for just a little support or compensation from the organization. It's my son's 10th B-Day and it will mean a lot to him and myself if something can be done about this situation.

At this point I didn't know what else to do but reach out to this organization and let it be known that kids need party supplies to celebrate their favorite team and players on their special day.

-Thank you!

I'm a Physician in Napa, Ca. I've followed your team, been so proud of you. I need to express my sincere disappointment in your turning down the invitation of our President in his congratulating your team on the NBA win. So many people love and follow you and your team. It is so vital for all of us Americans to be united politically. You influence more people than you can imagine, including so many young people. I know you're a family person and I hope a Christian. Please attend the white house meeting; support our country. This is also for the coach Mr. Kerr whom I've always loved and respected. Please don't let our country down

I am disappointed , too. Curry is an extremely overrated player. He has poor footwork compared to Michael Jordan, over-dribbles- cannot drive properly ( all over the place like a circus clown) travels often ( Lebron does too and is not nearly as smooth as M.J.) Curry has poor shooting form as well. He needs to correct all of that. When he misses, he misses BAD. There are shooting coaches whop would wipe the floor with Cuirry in a "HORSE" contest. Curry is the EPITOME of the modern generation. He is a SPOLIED ROTTEN, supremely arrogant, sheltered, had everything he ever wanted on a silver spoon, dainty , little sissy..... He is a petulant 7th grade child. I cannot even stand his face- ugly, bad teeth face...Curry is the most primma donna ARROGANT athletes I have EVER seen- it is off the charts over the top arrogance. He is NO M.J.- not even close. Even M.J. would not be entitled to act that arroganrt.Curry isa high struing militant always looking to fight people on the court. He is a real loser. Nobody ever has the guts to talk about all the racist minorities- they are just as bad the white supremesists etc. The media does not have the guts to call the minorities out. Hopefully , Curry is not ... However ,Curry is extremely overrated, plays in a SOFT league with defense non-existence on the perimter T.J. MCConnell made that punk Curry AIR BALL a three. CVury would never last in the 1996 era- Pippen would be all over him. Defenders EVEN the FEW who try are rarelya s skilled as Gary Payton and Pippen PLUS they are limited with soft, soft rules. Nobody even cares about or watches the NBA anymore. It is a PATHETIC PRODUCT-a glorified 3 point shoot around with ZERO perimeter defense. A DISGRACE! Curry is probabaly doing steroids, too. Look at the dramatic difference in buiild. Curry is a punk. He is not even 1/4 the player M,.J. was......

Hey there, I would encourage you to reconsider your statement about NOT visiting the White House. Don't let your emotions override just plain old good manners. Heck, I have said that I wouldn't want to eat dinner with our former President but that is totally the wrong way to look at it. Take your rawest emotion about Trump and double it and you'll have an idea about how I felt for about 8 years. Not right but it was so. I hope you understand that your visibility as an NBA player has quite an effect. Nothing wrong with a viewpoint but the intent can be hurtful and harmful. Have fun......TC

I attend this tournament every year and decided to bring my 5 year old grandson, as is a HUGE Stephen Curry fan. He has been anticipating the trip for months. We got to the tournament at 9am and anxiously awaiting him to finish on the 18th hole to get his autograph. Waiting that long for a 5 year is definitely a challenge. Stephen came and went and totally ignored the kids even after they begged for an autograph. My grandson sat in the seats in the edge closest to where the players must pass and begged. All to break down and start crying.

It's unfortunate that players don't take the time or even acknowledge the children. He was crushed. All spectators around us knew he had been waiting all day. Broke my heart to see him cry and ask why wouldn't he stop when others would?

Ever since Aiden was 5 he would watch your games. On a team he would fake shots,look for openings,making good passes and scoring a lot of points. Parents were so amazed how he played the game so well at the age of 5yrs.old.that's all they would talk about.Aiden always bounces the ball around the house continuesly.He lives for basketball because of watching your talent. It might be fun if you parry Mr. Durant's NIKE plug with offense rather than defense:
For 7 footers, and giants like Durant, NIKE might be the shoe for you.
BUT - If you build your game on shooting and movement and quickness - if you strive to corrode your opponent's defensive and hopelessly frustrate and destroy your opponent's psyche - If you wish to dazzle and dance with magic that sometimes seems impossible - then wear Under Armour's Curry 3ZERO - the shoe that inspires magic, the shoe that slays the giants, the shoe that Stephen Curry wears in the land of giants - although you could make a good argument for Dorothy's Ruby slippers if you're just lounging around the house.

Too bad you're not a KNICK.

Stephen,

Your off hand or non-shooting hand has many problems. It is very poor form. You need to correct this to be even better. Just because you found a way to compensate does not mean it is efiicent and it is very prone to error. You plam the ball when shooting as well and your elbow is out a lot...... I have been studying this since fall of 1993. Correct your form! Kobe's was far superior and correct.The modern NBA is the worst it has ever been and you guys have no footwork or fundamentals . You are MILKES behind lebron and Lebron is MILES behind Michael Jordan in twermns of basketball fundamental skills..... The 1996 Bulls wuold have easily beaten you guys.....

Stephen, We are so very disappointed in you as a leader of so many in this country, including kids, including all races of people, that you would disrespect the office of the President of this great country that has given you so much. No matter how you feel about a current President, the least you can do is give respect. We will never feel the same about you or the joy and pride we have felt watching your great abilities on the court. We cannot respect you either!

Stephen Curry is a punk, an extremely overrsted playe, an entitked spoiled brat, impressibg only this lazy modern fundamentally unsound generation who inows next to nothing about baketball. You aee a loser, Curry. You will never be anywhere near the players Tim Duncan, Kobe and Michael were.....Wilt, Russell, Kareem Hakeem are all REAL NBA players. Curry has poor shooting form and is a ball watcher. You are UNATHLETIC, too. Pippen could easily guard this punk arrogant joke of a olayer. Nobody even watches todayxs NBA It is the WORST EVER, Greetings from Scotland. Thank you, President Trump, you are a wonderful man for standing up to Curry the brat.

Coming from a military family where war took some of my relatives, I am very disappointed that the team I love could show such disrespect for the National Anthem and decline an invite to the White House. The potential was there for the team to give President Trump feedback to heal your nation. Your country is divided because you are all participants in this discord. To Stephan Curry I would say "what would Jesus do"? You say you are a Christian so be one and make a difference even in your President's life. A concerned Canadian Citizen that sees two wrongs will not make it right. Please use sound wisdom and act out what is right and be the example. All the sports teams acting in this manner owe a great apology to the person's in the graves that allowed you the freedom to play your sport. Don't be hypocrites. Impressed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Behaving the way your team should have. Heart broken because I love your team and thought your actions would be respectful not damaging. Please consider my comments. Don't take your freedoms for granted, it cost lives to enjoy it. Decide to help your President, he needs you to be part of the solution not add to the problem. A Canadian basket ball player, coach and referee. You win when you are a team, Your nations needs TEAM! Thank you

Stephen,

I listened to your comments and read your blurb regarding the vicious white supremacist racist attack on NFL and NBA athletes by the Rouge faux-President of the 39%l Trump. It is a strategic move to bring Sharia law (extreme white nationalist evangelicals) and White Nationalism (fascism) center stage in his perpetual racist rallies, specifically targeting white people. Every week is a different divisive issue and a different attack on a different group or person.

With aplomb and dignity, you demonstrated that African-ancestored athletes have First Amendment rights and can address those rights, especially when their rights are impinged upon by the white national police state murdering innocent Black men/boys/women/girls with impunity...

I ask you now; would this not be "the perfect moment and the fertile ground to build a "third force" political party, galvanizing and mobilizing all your millions of fans and disaffected voters of all walks of life who see the handwriting on the wall as it relates to the direction the neo-liberals, the neo-conservatives, the neo-fascist, and the neo-Nazis are taking the country and global countries?

If the professional athletes can protest a fascist anthem and song that glorifies war on the one and genocide, slavery, ineffable suffering of millions of people around in the name of white supremacy racism; can't we seize this moment to mobilize the masses and take this country into a whole new direction? A direction that will be, once and for all, of, by, and for the people. if all celebrities" across the spectrum, the Oprah's, Magic, LaBron, Kaepernick, Jordan, Denzel, Isaiah Washington...Clooney, DeNiro, Sarandon...and the list goes on and coalesce with Jill Stein, Cornell West, Chris Hughes, Glen Ford (Black Agenda Report)...and countless others who would help/contribute, and leadership in a monumental movement to throw off the coming wave of white fascist annihilation of the masses, deconstruction of Constitutional government, and the installation of an eminent dictatorship. You see how and what Trump thinks about Black people and if he has his way what he will do, which is take us back to the Antebellum, pre-Civil War era.

Stephen, if you came into the Black disenfranchised communities across the nation, creating a platform with other athletes with like minds and do something that has not ever been before; talk to the masses; create rallies for political power; it can be done! If you see the vision that I see as a result of Sunday's protest in the face of the Trump Alabama attack...we could be well on our way to the "real" great society!

Hello Steph,

You are my favorite basketball player because you're a follower of Christ, a great husband and father, humble, and your great GOD-given talents. As Christians, it doesn't matter what others are doing, we must always be obedient to GOD's word. With this being said, we must keep those in authority in prayer which means praying for President Donald Trump. GOD doesn't care about our opinions! We must do what right in GOD's eyes first! Speaking against the President isn't pleasing unto the LORD as the Bible says to pray for him!

1 Timothy 2King James Version (KJV)

2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

He is now in the toddler basketball team and works very hard in both school and his sports. I want to thank you Curry for being determined because now my son believes he can do anything even though he’s short or small for his age.

I know America has many problems but where else could you go and make the money you are making bouncing a ball?
