Short bio:

Blake Shelton was born June 18, 1976 in Ada, OK. After graduating from high school at seventeen, he moved to Nashville to pursue a singing career. There he got a job at a music publishing company and, in 1997, Bobby Braddock helped him get a production deal with Sony Music. Then in 2001 he was signed to Giant records who released his debut single "Austin". It spent five weeks at Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The gold-certified debut album also produced two more Top 20 hits ("All Over Me" and "Ol' Red"). Although the album was released on Giant Records Nashville, he was transferred to Warner Bros. Records Nashville after Giant closed in late 2001.

Shelton's second and third albums, 2003's The Dreamer and 2004's Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill, were each certified gold as well. His fourth album, Pure BS (2007), was re-issued in 2008 with a cover of Michael Bublé's pop hit "Home" as one of the bonus tracks. Shelton's fifth album, Startin' Fires, which had an appearance by his then-girlfriend Miranda Lambert, was released in November 2008. It was followed by the extended plays "Hillbilly Bone" and "All About Tonight" in 2010, and the albums Red River Blue in 2011... Based on a True Story... in 2013, and Bringing Back the Sunshine in 2014.

Overall, Shelton has charted 24 country singles, including 11 number ones. The 11th No. 1 "Doin' What She Likes" broke "the record for the most consecutive No. 1 singles in the Country Airplay chart's 24-year history". He is a five-time Grammy Award nominee. He's also known for his role as a judge on the televised singing competitions Nashville Star, Clash of the Choirs, and The Voice. He has been on The Voice since its inception, and four out of the seven seasons (2–4, 7) his teams have won.

My son is Eziekel Shelton. He has his dads last name which was a big mistake on my part. His dad is a lowlife woman beater and convict. The name Shelton is a curse around here. You make it good. If you could reach out to my son and make him proud to be a Shelton I would deeply appreciate it. He has no contact with his dads family. They don't want to be in his life because his dad went to prison for beating me.. He is a great kid. He is 17 and has a job. He bought his own car. (20 yr BMW). I am very proud of him.

Thinkin’

Work starts at 6, I’m so damn tired.
I’m 10 minutes late, and next time I’ll be fired.
Boss says I haven’t taken this job seriously
since the day that I was hired.
I just go about my work with a big old smile.
Getting upset about work just ain’t my style.
I close my eyes and I’ll be gone for a while.

Because,

I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all of what our love could be.
So nothing gets to me.
I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all the things you do for me
Your love sets me free.

Work is over and I hit the road.
An hour’s ride sure is gettin’ old.
Sped past a cop, 15 miles per hour over
Is what I’m told.
The cop wastes no time writing a ticket.
Maybe I should tell him where to stick it.
Instead I close my eyes and I’m fine with it.

Because,

I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all of what our love could be.
So nothing gets to me.
I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all the things you do for me
Your love sets me free.

Sometimes life is hard to bare
I’ll close my eyes,
I’m not even there.
You’re my angel from up above.
All my problems are solved by your love.
Nothing can get the best of me.

Because,

I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all of what our love could be.
So nothing gets to me.
I’ve been thinkin’ bout you,
Thinkin’ bout me
Thinkin’ bout all the things you do for me
Your love sets me free.

My daughter Aubree Molinario has loved your music even when she was still in my wife's belly. When my wife was pregnant with her at the time I had your greatest hit CD and I would play it real loud when my wife was with me so my baby girl could hear it. After a while she would start kicking and moving around and when I would turn on another country song she would stop. The I would flip back to your music and she would start moving and kicking again. Then she was born and after a few months of my wife being up with her and she was fighting her sleep I figure I would help my wife out and take her for a ride in my truck to get her to sleep. She was screaming her head off and it's 1 o'clock in the morning I had to get up for work at 4:30 and it hit me. Why not play your music? So I turned on honey bee and it was like turning a light switch on. She instantly stop screaming and was baby talking to the song. I was shocked that it was that easy. So after that night every night we put her in her bed we put your greatest hit CD in in her room and she went to bed peacefully every night. Now today she's 5 years old and still loves yours music. Her favorite song is boys around here. She calls it the "red red" song lol. So keep up the good work Blake and keep trucking along. Your the best in the business that's for sure. Oh and please come to Louisiana soon so I can take her to one of your shows. I know she would love it.

My husband and I are oooold fans of Blakes way before he hit it big. I am so disappointed in him now. Even if the marriage ended, a classy guy does not get a new (hardly!) chick and rub your former partners nose in it. I really thought he was for real. Will not be sad to watch his bright light burn out. The sooner he is out of our faces the better. We loved watching The Voice together, but I can't even stand to watch. You're not funny any more Blake.

Whew! I thought I was the only one that felt like this. LOL! Glad to know that there are other out there. Here's the funny thing about this, I'm pretty sure he is going to get a reality show out of this. It will be just a huge mess just like the Kardashians or Myle "Crying in her Wheaties" Cyrus. Who wants sloppy 2nds? It goes both ways Blake. That could be a good song, "Who wants sloppy 2nds."

The one thing, I loved about country music it was about down home country roots, yeah she breaks your heart and she gets your truck but you still got your dog. But yet the country music industry has tried to keep to family values. I guess goes to show you which ones don't like the drama and keep their private lives to themselves. Get back to your roots, boy.

My husband and I were so blessed to find each other after our spouses died. We saved each other. Death and Divorce are similar. You are so grief stricken and shattered that you wish your life was over. The person you loved and made lifelong plans with is no more. My husband and I supported each other as friends during this difficult time, no one else could relate unless you have been there. We too were judged because we fell in love. This does not mean you forget that other person. I still cry for my late husband and think of him everyday but I also have an amazing friend who became my husband of six years now and we are so happy and blessed to have found each other during the most trajec time of our lives. Those who did not support our choice are no longer part of our lives and that was difficult but obviously they have no clue of how you suffered and chose to judge instead. Move on and be happy.

I think that you are divorced and if you can find peace and Love in your life you should go for it. Because it is your life no one owns you but the Lord God (not your fans ) and if you are right with him no one has the right to tell you how to live your life. They are not walking in your shoes. Be happy with Gwyn if that is what you want life is way to short to always worry about what people think. Me and my family love watching you on the voice even my 18 year old son we may be up your way we are trying to find a reasonable prices f150 for him and that is not happening in Texas right now so we will go to Oklahoma to look. My husbands people are from there. Remember"
LIVE FOR YOURSELF"

Mr. Shelton, I have seen the major difference in how you look after using the garcinia cambogia diet. You look great.
I am hoping one of your assistants could provide me with the brand name of what you used. The internet is full of companies selling a month's supply for $100. Hoping I can find a good, effective and cheaper brand, is why I'm bothering you (or your clerk probably).
You bring a lot of people a lot of joy, so I wish you a long, healthy life after your change.
Thank you.

Dear Sweet Blake...
I am writing this letter to request a big favor of you. Something that would mean the world to me. You are such a kind man. And I love your music more than anything. But the request isn't about me.

My beautiful mother will be 79 in September. She is a wonderful woman who has had an extremely difficult life. She has lived her life so unselfishly sacrificing her own needs by working long hours to support my Dad & I.

My Dad was seriously injured in an oil field accident in 1957 He was only 29 years old. And my Mom was 20. He was in a body cast for a year. And then had his leg amputated once above the knee & then below the knee. And then he had numerous surgeries on his spine throughout 46 years. Most of our 3 lives were spent in hospitals. My Mom basically gave up her life caring for him & making a living. She worked 6 days a week for over 35 years. My Mom never had a vacation because she couldn't leave him alone. Sadly, my Dad passed in March of 2003.

Now for the favor I am asking. I would really love my Mom being able to attend your next concert & you SURPRISE her by meeting YOU! She would be so thrilled! I would really appreciate that favor more than anything. Please Blake, please. We are fellow Okies living in Shawnee, OK. We have been to Ada & about every other place in OK.

Thank you for reading my letter, Blake. MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Kindest regards,
Rhonda Jones

Hey Blake I know I'm just another fan but I wanted to say thanks. You and your music got me through a lot growing up. 6th grade to now has been everything form hell to heaven. When I was in sixth grade my mom got real sick. She made it but barely, and that summer my parents got a divorce. They fought a lot before so it was good they weren't fighting anymore but it still hurt. Fall of seventh grade I was back and forth every week between a two story 4 bedroom house with my dad, to a one bedroom apartment with my mom. It wasn't great because I had to grow up and take charge. Had to get my brother on the bus and stay back till my dad got home. When at my mom's I had to get us up, on the bus, then make sure we both got off, make sure he studied and wait till my mom got home. That winter my mom went to jail and I wont say why but she did. It hurt a lot and I didn't want to go see her but I wrote letters. I didn't see her again till spring my eighth grade year. That summer my dad, brother, sister and I moved to McCordsville. It wasn't easy, the going back and forth. Every other weekend I was at my mom's and her place changed from and apartment, to her boyfriend's house, to whatever else. Freshman year started up and just like that in the first month, my aunt dies, and my 11 year old golden retriever dies. Not a great way to start of Freshman year in a new school. After that things started to get better. Till Sophomore year came around. My mom did something that I will not say but I didn't see her again till December that year. I was reluctant to go. Things have been better though. Junior year has been great. Through all of that your music and you were always there. My first concert was 2013, the summer before eighth grade. I was the greatest night of my life. I went to see you at Legends Day too and that was fun. Every time I felt depressed or like breaking down your music was there to pick me up. If I need to be cheered up I would watch an interview or The Voice. It always made me smile. I don't know if I'd be here today if it wasn't for you and your music honestly. You are my hero and I just wanted to say thank you for making music and being yourself.

As a fan and a professional truck driver that was recently in a conversation on the CB in regards to modern artists and music base around the trucking industry . Music has always been a big part of the trucking industry and there really hasn't been anything new towards the industry in a long time and with the diversity in cultures and tastes it can be any genre , I know country music has always been the main type . Long story short we got to joking about the judges of the voice challenging each other to come up with the best song ,whether new or remake , based towards the trucking industry. Oh and let Adam know if he needs inspiration the passenger seat is empty..

Dear Blake Shelton,

I know this is a long shot but it's worth a try in my eyes.

A couple of months ago you had a concert in NY at the Barclays center on October 8th. My girlfriend Lindsay and I were supposed to attend. I purchased these tickets for her 23rd birthday which was September 14th!! She is a huge fan of yours, she probably likes you more than me.. well we never actually got to go to the concert. On September 15th I was riding my motorcycle with a couple buddies when a young kid just happened to pull out in front of us. Fortunately only one of us was injured. Unfortunately that one person was me. I bounced off of the car and was ejected into a telephone pole which stopped me from moving. I was rushed to a nearby trauma hospital with life threatening injuries. The police on scene, and the EMT didn't think I would make it through the night. Well they were wrong!! I actually survived 2 collapsed lungs, 1 punctured lung, brain bleeding, a lacerated liver, kidney, and spleen. I also fractured 3 ribs 8 vertebrae in my neck and back, and also fractured both shoulder blades. After about 10 days in trauma ICU I was moved to another room to finish my recovery. I spent a total of 15 days in the hospital. My girlfriend never left my side and kept praying for me and made my stay in the hospital very comforting.. now because of this horrible accident . We were un able to make the trip to Brooklyn. It is now a couple months later and she still has to help me shower, eat, walk, drive me around to my doctors appointments and I was just hoping maybe you would see this letter and help me give her the birthday present she deserves. All she wants is to see you in concert. It would just make her day and make her smile which is all I want to do!! Hopefully this letter makes it to Blake Shelton somehow

Thanks

I listen to you every morning when she says: Lexi play Blake Shelton. Damn, between every morning and watching the Voice, I feel like I know you! LOL Just curious, is there a meet in greet at this concert. If not, no biggy because she'll just love the concert. Thanks for you time. Don

I have a really great cowboy song I would like for you to do. it was written by my brother before he passed away this spring. I have played it for my friends and family and everyone agrees that it should be heard. if Merle was still around I would have asked him, but you coming in second only to "The Hag" is truly a compliment. I am not a crackpot or anything like that, I just really loved my brother and would like the world to be able to appreciate his talent.
