Family Guy

Show Premise:

The show showcases adventures of the family of Peter Griffin, a bumbling blue-collar worker. Peter is married to Lois, a stay-at-home mother and piano teacher who is a member of the Pewterschmidt family of wealthy socialites. Peter and Lois have three children: Meg, their teenage daughter, who is awkward and does not fit in at school, and is constantly ridiculed and ignored by the family; Chris, their teenage son, who is overweight, unintelligent and a younger version of his father in many respects; and Stewie, their diabolical infant son of ambiguous sexual orientation who has adult mannerisms and uses stereotypical archvillain phrases. Living with the family is Brian, the family dog, who is highly anthropomorphized, drinks martinis, and engages in human conversation, though he is still considered a pet.

Production History:

Family Guy was conceived by Seth MacFarlane after developing two animated films, "The Life of Larry" and "Larry & Steve." MacFarlane redesigned the films' protagonist, Larry, and his dog, Steve, and renamed them Peter and Brian. MacFarlane pitched a seven-minute pilot to Fox on May 15, 1998 and the show was given the green light to start production. Shortly after the third season of Family Guy had aired in 2001, Fox canceled the series, putting the series on a 2-year hiatus. However, favorable DVD sales and high ratings for syndicated reruns on Adult Swim convinced the network to renew the show in 2004 for a fourth season, which began airing on May 1, 2005.

Dear Seth McFarlane I know your busy with Orville production gotta go live your dream to be on a star trek inspired show. I know how it feels to have a dream I just want to meet you and see about making an episode idea here it is : ok my idea is making an episode in loving memory of Adam west he is a part family guys family and I think he needs a proper send off just like Frank Sinatra jr lets make it a good one have an whole episode dedicated to him and carols life at home and throughout the episode throw some I'll always miss kinda quotes like you made me laugh a certain way and I'll never forget it kinda quotes I feel like I'm being vague ok ' I wish we could see you more often kinda like that. Next Bertram needs to return to family guy because in the eyes of the fans Bertram and penolpe should get together because unlike stewie Bertram craves destruction just like penolpe and lastly I feel like family guy is still the best show ever but we need another Cross over between family guy and the Simpsons ok so what if the chicken had cloned himself and one moved to Springfield they make an entire episode on the chicken watching Homer studying him knowing his weakness at the end of the episode the chicken taking his house his family captive and guess who is homer's last resort Peter Griffin is called but denies Homer at first but then when the same happens to Peter they have to team up to defeat Peters ultimate for times 2

During a conversation about the military and America being bad ass, Peter makes a comment about Hiroshima. Cut away begins with american planes flying over Japan followed by the nuke being dropped and several people on fire running around, melting into skeletons. Immediately followed by a clip from the song America! Fuck yeah!

When two of the main characters are in a loud place on each of them should say "it's louder than a rejected contestant on Italy's got talent" and then switch to a judge telling a contestant they didn't make it on the show and then the guy on stage does really loud A O's and then the entire room joins in soon

I believe a good episode would be Peter decides he’s tired of getting pushed around and gets fighting lessons a good bit would also be he ends up seeing the giant chicken and decides to “teach him a lesson” but that’s my idea Thank You

Peter refers to the days when everyone smoked cigarettes everywhere and they could show the most inappropriate times and places starting with restaurants and airplanes then moving onto doctors performing surgery and nurses delivering babies while smoking cigarettes. Maybe the doctors could place a filthy ashtray on top of the patients body during surgery and the nurses could be blowing smoke in the newborns face or something. im sure some other situations would be hilarious as well. Enjoy!!!

Hello I just recently found out that they were taking family guy off Netflix. I have been crying all day and I was wondering if there was any way you could like appeal that? To keep it on Netflix? Family guy is my favorite show ever and I watch it every day and I don't know what I'm gonna do without it .

I absolutely love watching family guy and I have watched previous seasons over again and again! However, season 16 episode 1 is absolute garbage. If I wanted to watch crappy tv I'd go watch the Simpsons. The jokes are dry and I frankly lost interest in the episode 7 mins after it started. This is the first time I've ever written a comment or sent a message because this is the worst episode in the history of Family Guy, in my opinion.

You should do one where most likely Peter or another character says “This is more disappointing than the time bought those on-sale tickets to the DEAF comedy jam,” and then it cuts away to a stage similar to the normal def comedy jam stage except it’s all def ppl, and the room is getting super hype and ppl are jumping around laughing, except they’re all deaf so it’s just dead silent, and then have peter probably say something funny

Cow heaven. All the cows and farmers who have them slaughtered go to cow heaven. The only restaurant being McHumans. All of the cows get to order and eat humans as burgers, adding ingredients like hiv & aids, warts, syphilis, any kind of sexually transmitted disease. Also there's just good old ketchup and mustard.

You guys should make a video game that you could play on a gaming console. You could potentially make a lot of money off of it.

Episode idea:
Meg through an accident or alien/magic item gains superpowers and the classic "you got powers so you're hot now bod". She can change back and forth to keep her secret but then she gets jealous of all the attention her heroine self is getting and tries to tell everyone she's the heroine, but even her family doesn't believe her even when she transforms in front of them. Episode ends with her sacrificing her powers to save the town and no one ever believing her that she was the heroine.

Y’all can, if y’all want, to make a cut scene where Herbert the pervert is in a sewer dressed as a clown and says y’all want some candy, just come down here and I’ll give you some, or you can just turn around and I’ll put it in your back pocket, this would be funny sense the new IT came out and it’s about a clown in the sewers

Im a huge family guy fan, and freshman at clemson university. I think it would be a dope idea if y'all set up an episode that was a home alone version but instead of keving being the main character setting up booby traps it would be stewie. I think it would be dope if something happened and Stewie couldn't access his weapons of gadget closet and he had to set up homemade booby traps to stay safe in his house in quahog.

Family Guy writers seem to be Apple fanboys. Booo. Seriously. You need to knock Apple in a truthful way; how iSheep love their products because it's a status symbol, not because it's "easy to use". How about how it took Apple 10 years to change the style of the iPhone. Family Guy rules because no one gets a pass, everything is subject to ridicule.

Hi Family Guy I'm a huge fan,
I think it would be interesting to see Family Guy do an episode similar to Always Sunny's "The gang tries desperately to win an award". All the immature humor, all the gross, politically incorrect, gleefully ignorant and offensive humor at its best as a big "Fuck You" to the Emmys. We like who we are, our fans like who we are and we don't need an intellectual award to justify our comedy.

Hi Family Guy I'm a huge fan,

Family Guy is one of my favorite shows, and I think it always will be, but in recent years it has found

a low point. One thing I notice a lot in more recent seasons' comedy is a lack of unpredictability.

Comedy is a very malleable style of entertainment, but often someone on Family Guy says they are

going to do something or something will happen or sets up a cut scene, and that exact thing happens

w/o anything exaggerated or unexpected. Another thing I notice Family Guy doing lately is a lot of

references to the fact the characters are in a TV show. There's a pretty consistent trend between a

partial laugh/joke (in the tradition of bob's burgers) or none at all when the characters reference the

medium they are in. Improving these two areas I think would help bring the show back to its former glory

the most.

Another thing I think would help is more action scenes. Almost all of Family Guy's viewers are teenage

boys (including myself) and to help round out episodes and keep them interesting, well choreographed

fight scenes, comedic or otherwise, would be a big help.

And the messages: A big part of Family Guy is its irreverence. This doesn't mean there can't be

messages, I've liked a lot of the ones Family Guy has had and I often agree with the serious ones. That

said, teenagers generally don't liked to be preached at.

When shows have been on the air for years they very probably will begin to rely on past material to

govern the present. This is fun for hardcore fans but can be a slippery slope if used in excess.

And lastly: The plots. Family Guy often has disorganized story lines. I know this can be on purpose and

the story is not the point in most cases, but a truly interesting plot like the one in "Follow the Money"

can help an episode.

Consider starting stories with a bang instead of at the house or bar or something mundane. People will

like original ideas as in "Road to the Multiverse" or "Brian and Stewie". An idea for a plot would be one

shot (potentially) with just PCQJ walking somewhere. We never learn where they are going as the

episode ends just as they get there. They talk and laugh and maybe fight but it never gets too

emotional or cheesy, they don't spill their guts, it's just four friends excited to get somewhere and the

adventures they experience on the way; which an adept writer or director would make primarily

through smart dialogue instead of chases.

Family Guy can be its own art form, forget the critics. Love your work, that's the key, and if a CEO is

reading this, those who love their work do better jobs and quality will bring a large quantity of money.

I hope this helps, I'm a huge fan either way.
